3D Maps

To activate 3D mode, click the 3D button below the location icon:

While in 3D, the map works the same — you can still click on trails, POIs, routes, etc., you can still right click for coordinate info and long press for movable crosshairs.

The main thing that's different (besides the actual visual difference of 3D) is that you can hold CTRL and drag the map to change pitch & orientation. You can also adjust pitch with the slider, as seen below.

To exit 3D mode, click the 2D button.
